2013 NFL Free Agency: Jennings Open to Playing in Minnesota

On Wednesday, Greg Jennings expressed no hesitation about wearing purple. Let the floodgates of anger now open.

Today is Valentine's Day. For many, this is a day to acknowledge relationships and show love to whoever it is that you want to show love to. Then there are those couples that might exactly be showing or receiving the love on a day like today.

One of the more interesting relationships that I have been keeping my eye on this offseason is the one between Packers and Greg Jennings which seems iffy-at-best at this point, at least in terms of having a productive future. This usually leaves many fans split about that particular player that is flirting with the option of leaving so many fans' view of Jennings are likely to change as well.

Yesterday, Jennings took on the media, again, making an appearance on "NFL Total Access" on NFL Network. He discussed the possibilities of his future location, which is listed on his Twitter as "in question," among other things. He has already put his DePere (WI) home up for sale, which is a good indicator that wherever Jennings decides to go, he will he prepared for the move.

Everything was cruising along. You got all of the basic free-agent quotes: You got the age-old "It is what it is," bite; and the timeless "Its a business," line along with a few other quotables. Basically, your standard free-agent stuff was on display. Then the V-Bomb was dropped... Vikings, relax. When asked about the possibility of playing for Minnesota, Jennings said that he would be open to playing in a purple uniform.

Honestly, it?s one of those situations where like I said, it?s a business. So it?s pretty much whatever would be the right fit for myself as well as my family as far as living accommodations, that?s where we?re going to end up?Absolutely [I consider Minnesota an option]. All other 31 teams are an option when it comes to being able to have an occupation and play the game I love to play.

Seeing Greg Jennings play in Viking purple would probably make many Packer fans sick to their stomachs. Can you imagine that horn going off after a big Greg Jennings gain against the Packers? It would be a tough pill to swallow for sure.

Now, I don't consider myself a biased writer or reporter, but I DO know that Jennings may have landed himself in the doghouse of many Packer fans. To his defense, he also said that it was possible for any NFL team, Packers included, to retain his services over the next few seasons. Perhaps he will make it up to fans with another diamond NFL Championship ring? I mean, it is Valentine's Day.

In the meantime, the waiting game is on and the Vikings have a legitimate shot at getting what was once Green Bay's number one receiver. Maybe this shouldn't phase any Packer fans after seeing players like Darren Sharper, Ryan Longwell and Brett Favre go on to the "Dark Side"

As a Packer fan, would Greg Jennings have to proverbially "sleep on the couch" this Valentine's Day for saying that he is open to playing for Minnesota? I would have to say so. What do you think? Does Greg Jennings still get the love from Packer fans?
