Major trade shows and events provide lead collection and qualification technology that enables exhibitors to quickly determine where and how to spend their lead follow-up dollars. However, the thousands of small businesses that rely on events without such technology still use fishbowls to collect business cards that make follow-up a nightmare.
Working together, Event Technologies and Calvert Creative have embarked on a mission to bring large event lead collection and follow-up to the small business owners who rely on small events and expos to market their products. Their first offerings were introduced at the American Chamber of Commerce Executives Conference held in August 2012 in Louisville, KY.
Event Technologies of Long Beach, CA is a full service provider of lead management solutions for trade show exhibitors utilizing Internet based products developed by TPC Inc. of Chapel Hill, NC.
Calvert Creative of Cary, NC helps companies develop leads and sales through online marketing, all while working within their budget and timeline. ?It?s like having a whole marketing department?right in your office.?
Fred Tremblay, VP Development at Event Technologies and President of TPC Inc., along with Jeff Tippett, Director of Calvert Creative will discuss the problems with small business lead follow-up and their efforts to help solve them.
SLMA will ask:
- What?s wrong with business card fishbowls at trade shows?
- What is new about your approach and what are the benefits?
- Who gets what?
- It would seem what we did not need is another ?lead retrieval? system. Why would you build one?
- Who buys the services?
- How much is it? How is it affordable for small businesses?
The principals:
Fred Tremblay, who serves as President of TPC Inc. as well as VP of Development for Event Technologies, is a University of Michigan graduate with over 25 years of executive sales and marketing experience at IBM and Lockheed in North America, Europe and Japan. He later served as VP of Candle Corp, President of Sapiens USA, Inc. and CEO of Suite Software, each industry leaders in their market segment. In 1998 he helped found and served as CEO of NewLeads Inc. a leading supplier of tablet and PC-based trade show lead retrieval systems.
Fred?s management experience includes time as an independent consultant in the high tech industry and two years as Executive VP of the 1994 World Cup Organizing Committee in LA.
In 2002 he founded TPC Inc., a software development company who?s RapidResponse Follow-up and FulfillLit services address the problems that marketing departments find when trying to incorporate trade show leads into their lead generation and qualification processes. Trade show leads are unique and cannot be simply imported into an organization's CRM or leads management system nor can they be sent en mass to sales. Initial follow-up needs to be as unique as the leads themselves.
Since 2005 TPC?s products have been sold exclusively through Event Technologies of Long Beach, CA a full service provider of lead management solutions for trade show exhibitors. Having spent years observing this wasted effort first hand Event-Technologies (http://www.event-techs.com) has implemented a comprehensive set of consulting and out-sourced follow-up services aimed at improving an exhibitor's effectiveness.
Event Technologies / TPC?s goal is to provide trade show lead follow-up services utilizing advanced lead collection, scoring / rating and distribution techniques including electronic literature fulfillment to trade show exhibitors, large or small.
Their recently introduced eShowLeads product is a new service for the small exhibition market that makes large trade show technology affordable for the small business. eShowLeads (www.eshowleads.com) lets exhibitors collect and manage information about their booth visitors using their smartphone or tablet. It eliminates the business card fishbowl and the manual efforts required to record and manage business cards, making lead follow-up faster and easier than ever before for less than $50 per booth compared to the large event average of $300 per device. Better follow-up means more success and a greater ROI for everyone.
